He’s doing that supervillain thing with his fingers in the picture too.
Isn’t it good we have experts like you to tell trans people they don’t know what the trans rights movement is about?
Trans rights is simply human rights for trans people. It’s not a culture war issue; it’s a human rights issue.
Not only do these people fail as allies and as compassionate human beings, but they’re also very stupid if they don’t see that defending trans rights is the front line of the fight against fascism right now, and we all need to be there fighting it. They’re not going to stop at taking rights away from trans people. It’ll be you next.
If ICE intercept someone trying to enter at a land border and they don’t want them in the USA, why don’t they just turn them around? Why do they imprison them for months at the US taxpayer’s expense?
as trump is incapable of learning, tariffs hurt the populace of the country imposing them more than anyone else.
It’s unclear whether he doesn’t understand or whether he doesn’t care. If the aim is to disorient traditional allies while pumping the markets up and down for profit and plundering public funds while people are too confused to stop you, and keeping in the good books of your “friend” in Russia, the well being of the US population won’t even factor into his calculations.
Vivaldi is a very good browser, but if you want to support open web standards it would be better to use a non-Chromium-based browser like one of the Firefox derivatives. Also Vivaldi is closed source. Still, I do like Vivaldi.
Canada, please do the same.
Trump voters just hear “foreigners bad”.
Does this have anything to do with the CEO expressing his support for Trump? I can’t imagine how, but there are some odd decisions being made at Proton lately.
It should be noted that while the views you quote are real and will be used to justify atrocities and genocide, the rabbinic tradition is broad and also contains a quite different, contrasting view. The same overview article you linked discusses the view of the Rambam (Maimonides):
The true meaning of fatherhood, according to the Rambam, is not the passing on of DNA or any other type of essential nature, but rather education and instruction. A father is one who teaches and passes down an intellectual heritage, and a child is a student who receives that tradition. Avraham Avinu is thus our ancestor not because we are biologically descended from him, but because he taught the belief in monotheism and the lifestyle of Godliness, and we learned that philosophy from a chain of tradition that leads back to him.
According to the Rambam, the difference between a Jew and a gentile derives not from how one was created, but from one’s beliefs and the philosophical tradition by which he lives his life. Therefore, a convert who learns the Torah is just as much a descendant of the Patriarchs as a born Jew who learns the Torah.
In this view there is no essential difference between a Jew and a non-Jew. Godliness is a question of how you live.

Hmm… anxiously eyeing my Lemmy post history…
That’s because he and his kind believe government is useless and can just be broken without losing anything important. From their point of view, government is just a thing that takes money from them and spends it on people who don’t deserve to live because they’re not asshole billionaire techbros. And it makes poor people’s lives slightly less unpleasant by giving them money and services, which billionaires don’t like because it makes the poor less desperate and exploitable.
