Maybe they should take their soldiers and get off our soil, then. Putting US bases on European soil isn’t a favor to Europeans, it’s a mutually assured defense. If they’re unhappy with the deal, they can leave.

Actually, what they got in return were partners that were democratic and aligned in principles and values. Now the US has diverged from democratic values in favour of authoritarian ones. In consequence, the US starts attacking democracies and befriends other authoritarian regimes to which they aspire to.

US attacks Houthis who are a proxy for Iran which is retaliating against Israel which is a US proxy (or actual 51st state ;)). If US wasn’t supporting genocide in Gaza then the Red Sea passage would be safe. That evil gnome Vance can fuck off.

I thought this „thank you” stuff was for their voters but it turns out they believe their own bs. That’s kind of worrying because it’s another proof that all of the adults have left the room and those remaining are way out of their depth.

It’s like these dunderheads just woke up from a century-long coma and have no idea where their Imperial provinces are, who’s friend and foe, how the economics of the era work, etc…

I’m confused, when exactly has the EU or any other collective European entity requested the US to bomb the Houthis? Isn’t this recent flare-up related to the failed ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that the Trump administration has been facilitating?

Remember, this is coming from the same types that wanted to “build a wall and make Mexico pay for it”. Same logic, no?

Very true, where it becomes strange is that once again the US just like Russia immediately thinks that the only solution is to bomb the shit out of everything and then have the gall to say that the rest of the world should be grateful.

The New World Conservatives or whatever the F you want to call this wave of MAGA and associated people, all look to Russia as the role model.

They aren’t conservatives, they’re fascists and gangsters who hijacked conservatism as a vehicle for unlimited power.

Interesting that they advocated for a more careful approach, waiting a month for messaging and further evaluation.

Of course, in the end that government didn’t choose that but just went ahead.
